31/366

I wore something different today than I usually do. People noticed too. It was nice. It's hard to believe it's been a month of taking a photograph every day. Making it this far gives me hope I can finish it. I'm sure I can. Today I had one final. Tomorrow I have one final. The next day I've got one. The next two tests will be much harder than today's test. Looking forward to the end of the week.

30/366

Despite the fact that it was not raining today, I still felt the need to do this. It was wet and gloomy, so it might as well have been raining. Well, last normal day of the semester. Finals start tomorrow. Woo! On the bright side, I only have one final each day. So that helps alleviate at least some of the stress. It'll be difficult, but I think I'll make it through alright.

29/366

Had a ton of work to do today. That is why this photo compilation isn't the most creative thing in the world. But, regardless, I still like it. I like the keys on my MacBook. They're pretty nifty. I took this while taking a break from working on it. Once this week is over I'll be so much less stressed.

My cat is such a model. She was just relaxing on my floor and I decided she was just too cute to pass up photographing. So I did. I quite like this photo. So today is a day of work. Which I'm procrastinating on. As usual. Anyways, it'll probably turn out to be productive in the end. It's just not fun as it's happening. Anyways, cute cat.

It was such a beautiful night out tonight. On the bottom photograph, the large bright spot is the moon. The stars were beautiful. I also did some star trails on film. Hopefully I'll finish that roll of film soon so I can see how they turned out. Anyways, about my day. I was really happy once school was over. Had an awesome afternoon/evening just relaxing. 'twas a good day. And the night sky was amazing.

26/366

It was a beautiful day outside today. So, being trapped in school all day was terribly unbearable. After school I went home as fast as possible and got my photo stuff and hopped on my bike and rode until I found some shots. This is an attempt at HDR. It is a combination of three different photos. One, the sky is bright and the ground is light; another, the ground is dark and the sky is light; and the third where the sky and ground are more even. I combined them so you could get a nice sky and still see the ground. I would have left it in color but it looked a little funny with the three combinations, so I turned it to black and white and I really like it. I will be trying more HDR soon, probably. It's pretty neat.

25/366

This is a photo of me. I am enjoying some delicious cinnamon toast with butter for snack. Milk to drink. Pretty tasty. Fairly bland day, at least it's past the middle of the week. Lots of homework this week and weekend. The week before finals always seems to worse than actual finals week. Uhg. Finals. At least we get 1.5 days off! Woo! Anyways, hopefully I'm able to survive all the studying I'll be doing.

24/366

Mmmmmm! This was my dinner! Soup-er yummy! Puns! Anyways, chicken and wild rice soup in a bread bowl from Panera Bread. Really tasty. Also today was pitch black when I woke up. It stayed that way until like 7 or 7:15 and was really dark all day. By like 3:30 or 4 it was dark again outside. I think the world is ending sooner than we though. Just kidding. But hopefully it's lighter sometime this week, I want to go outside and take some photos! We'll see how that goes.

My feelings today expressed as a photograph. I don't really have much else to say.

22/366

Today isn't a good day. Homework all day. Blah. So, in order to relieve some of my boredom, I decided to dance around in my room with a flashlight. This is the result.

21/366

I find myself interesting. That's a strange statement to make... I find it interesting that out of all of the photos I took today (around 70) this is the one I chose. I'm not sure why. I really like it, how my feet stand on the line between the two surfaces. It's interesting. But there's probably a lot more technically good ones I took. But this one was chosen over those. Regardless of my strange photo choices, today was a decent day. Worked on a college application and then did some errands. Got my hair cut, got some library books. Took a bunch of photos at the park. This being one of them.

20/366

This is the best part of my week. Always. Luckily, she doesn't get too grumpy when I wake her up so she can go home. But regardless, she's always so cute when she's asleep.

19/366

I'm not sure this turned out exactly how I wanted it to. I still like it, though. The day was fairly uneventful. So, I played some instruments! I decided it'd be cool to somehow incorporate all four instruments in a band into one photo. So I did this. It's called a quadtych. Similar to a diptych. Anyways, I love music. And I love photography. So this is an awesome way to combine them!

18/366

Today's photo was a struggle to choose. I did some water drop photography that I didn't choose as my photo for the day (you can view those here). Instead, here is a bland photo of a bland math worksheet I had to do. Woo! Math is difficult this year. I mean usually it's difficult to some degree; but this year some things I just don't get at all. But I've kept at it and I'm getting better at it. I try to avoid photos of homework too often. But once in a while is okay.

17/366

First signs of snow! Not very much that stuck around, but it was there. Hoping for even more tomorrow! I really like snow. I like it when it's at my house, more specifically. It's cool to go to a mountain or something and see it, but it just seems so special when it's coming down around your house. I love it. Yay snow!

16/366

Today's photograph isn't very exciting, because today isn't very exciting. Also, I like diptychs (two photos side by side). And I thought that these two photos were interesting on their own, but more interesting together. So there we go. Today I'm really sore from snowboarding and had an orthodontist appointment, woohoo! And now for some homework! At least there's a possibility of snow, that makes my day better.

15/366

So, today's photo is super different. I took the photos on my friend's iPhone while we were at the mountain snowboarding today. I sent them to myself and edited them on my iPod. As for the day, it was awesome. It was the first time I went snowboarding with my friends, my second time snowboarding in general. Such a great time, though. Unfortunately the only thing I could really take a photo of was the parking lot because we had to leave his phone in the car. But at least I did a photo!

14/366

Today we went to Winter Semi-Formal. It was fun. We went out to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes with a group of friends, and then went to the dance. Afterwards we went and watched a movie at a person in the group's house. It was quite a good evening. Also, it was funny taking this photo because I set up my camera on a tripod, ran over, then ran back, and kept doing that until I was happy with the result. All just so I can say I took it. I mean, it is a 366 of photographs that I have taken. But anyways, I like this photo. It shall be a good memory.

13/366

It was Friday the 13th. 'twas a stressful Friday the 13th. I had a difficult test at school and then after school I filled out one entire college application. As a reward for finishing, we watched "Pushing Daisies", which is pretty much the best show ever. Such an amazing show; it's sad that they cancelled it after two seasons. Anyways, it was a great was to relax after a stressful day.

12/366

This is the first panorama I have ever attempted. And I would say the it is a success. The sunset was beautiful tonight. It's been nice the past few days, even if it is a little cold. I like it though. And this photo was taken just outside my house. So awesome.

11/366

It's Wednesday. I decided that it would be a good day to levitate in the middle of the street. I'm not sure what it is with me and being the the street for photos.

10/366

Today in health we started our flour baby project. I figured my photo of the day should be a family photo! We have to take care of dressed up sacks of flour for a few days. We take them to all of our classes and everything we do. It'll definitely be interesting. Their names are Wethalyn and Wilfred.

9/366

This photo has multiple meanings for me. One, and the reason I took it, was for the start of my "character" project for my main photo blog (here). Another is because this is my new computer I got for Christmas, and it is amazing. I absolutely love it. It's going to get me through all of my college years and some more. It will be so useful for a long time.

8/366

I love mountains. Today I went snowshoeing with the ecology club at my school. It was awesome. So beautiful. I absolutely love how mountains look, they're so amazing. Such a cool landscape to photograph. So anyways, it was a tough hike and a long day. but all in all it was really fun. I had a good time hiking around in the snow with friends.

7/366

So, a whole week done. 1/52. This project will be quite the experience. So, this is a photograph of my newly arranged room. Rearranging took up a majority of the day. It's good for a change, though. I don't think I've switched my room around for about 4 or 5 years! So it'll be good to get a new feel in there. Also my cat can now look out the window while sitting on my bed, as she's doing here.

6/366

This photograph might seem mundane or uninteresting to some people, but I find it highly interesting. Probably because I took it. But whatever. It is a photograph of my family: dad, mom, sister, and girlfriend. This time with them was probably the best part of my day overall. Just loitering around talking about a lot of different things, it was enjoyable. And when I ran upstairs to get my camera to take a photo (just remembering I needed one for the day), they all were like "Uhgg, really??" and "What're you taking photos of?!!??" and when I had been on my stairs for 10 minutes taking a bunch of photos they were like "You're still taking photos??? How many do you have, like 50???? Because that's what it sounds like!!!" even though I had taken like 15. But it was funny. It was also funny because my dad was trying to hide behind the lamp. Didn't work! Anyways, I quite enjoyed hanging out with them for a little bit of time tonight.

5/366

Sitting on the edge, staring into the distance.

Today has been less than interesting, so I decided to take an exciting photograph. It was fun taking and editing this photo. I love any photo that makes people confused. Even if it's only a few seconds before the realize what's going on in the photo it's still enjoyable seeing that confusion at the beginning. Anyways, hopefully tomorrow will be more exciting and I'll be able to photograph something more relevant to my life. Although laying on the side of the street is alway fun too.

4/366

This is the book that Montana State University sent me. It's 475 pages long. Every single page is printed at a slant. Not sure how they managed that, but they did. Anyways, regardless of printer errors, it is really weird to be getting this book. To think that I will be going off to college in nine months or less is a crazy thought. It's all exciting and frightening at the same time. I really need to figure out where I'm going. Even though I haven't figured that out yet, I think that I'll be happy wherever I go. Also, this year is a great year to be doing a 365 (366) project, because it will document the end of my high school years, and the beginning of my college years. It will document the transition. I will be able to look back on this project and remember everything that has happened. I will complete this project. And it will be great.

3/366

Over the past 18 days, I have woken up about 10:00 on average. I think the earliest I woke up was around 8:30. And now, after 18 days, I had to get up at 6:00. That's about four hours earlier than the average time I woke up for the past 18 days. That is a very tough thing to do after getting so much sleep. So, I thought I would document it for my 366. The night before, while I was getting ready for bed, I set up my camera on its tripod and I set the exposure the way I wanted it and did some test shots. When I woke up at the awful time of 6:00, I took my lens cap off, turned on the camera, and did a few shots of myself. I figured this would make a good photograph because I was so tired. I like how this one turned out.

2/366

Last day of winter break today. Sad. It doesn't feel like there should be school tomorrow. Oh well, we'll get another break soon enough. We were looking at my "Me Book" that I made in 8th grade. It's funny how much has changed, but it's even funnier how much hasn't changed.

1/366

This photo, at first glance, is very confusing. But if you look at it long enough, you will see my dog's reflection. I took this photo while I was working on my computer on homework, during winter break! Anyways, my computer was placed on the coffee table in front of the couch while my dog was sitting on the couch enjoying the sun. What a great way to kick off the new year, doing homework.
